Keep track of what you read

goodreadsI am sure you have heard of goodreads, but just in case you haven’t, let me tell you just a little about it. goodreads is an online manager of books you have read, want to read and are busy reading. While keeping track of this, you can organize your books according to categories you choose.

I have organized my books according to a whole variety of categories such as theology, language-studies, christian-thinking, baseball, bible, politics, heresy and many more!

It is very easy to use, and you can keep track of books as you read them by entering the page that you have just finished on the day. It will then show you how much of the book you have read percentage-wise. Once you finish books you can rate them, review them, and add them to a list of favourites.

Here is a blurb from the goodreads website:

“Goodreads is a free website for book lovers. Imagine it as a large library that you can wander through and see everyone's bookshelves, their reviews, and their ratings. You can also post your own reviews and catalog what you have read, are currently reading, and plan to read in the future. Don’t stop there – join a discussion group, start a book club, contact an author, and even post your own writing.”

The Top 10 Christian Leaders You Should Be Following On Twitter?

I just saw a link to a blog post by Brian Dodd on “The Top 10 Christian Leaders You Should Be Following On Twitter.” He has set out some criteria as to whom may be on the list. Of course, the criteria is that these tweeters should be tweeting to leaders. I personally don’t care much about all these ministries that are training “leaders” and such! I once wrote a blog post on this issue called “Raising pastors or leaders?“ I started that post as follows:
“One thing that is really bothering me in the modern church is that pastors are no longer shepherds of the flock, but rather have become managers within a ‘churchy’ corporate environment. There are all kinds of programmes to raise leaders in the church, and it makes me wonder what happened to the instructions of Jesus to ‘make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.’ (Mt 28:19-20)”
Anyhow, when I look at that list of “Christian Leaders You Should Follow On Twitter,” I find huge gaps. Like, where’s John Piper, John MacArthur, IXMarks (Mark Dever’s ministry), or Albert Mohler?

So, I have decided to do my own quick survey below. It only has two questions, so please, would you answer them for me?

Collage of some of my status updates for 2010

Here is a collage of some of my Twitter (and here) and Facebook status updates for 2010. There were many, but unfortunately all could not fit onto one graphic (or 2, or 3, or . . .).
